P!NK’s record breaking FUNHOUSE TOUR consisted of a mammoth 58 shows throughout Australia where over 650,000 people witnessed one of the best shows this country has ever seen. For those that missed out, and those that want to relive the excitement, Sony Music Entertianment is pleased to announce that FUNHOUSE: LIVE IN AUSTRALIA will be available from Friday October 16th, 2009.
For this incredible release pre orders are already at 170,000, making this DVD 11 x Platinum before it hits stores.
Throughout the FUNHOUSE TOUR, P!nk performed to over 650,000 people in 8 Australian cities. The tour was a two-hour, circus-theme extravaganza, with dancers, aerialists, funhouse mirrors and giant, inflatable clowns.
Filmed in Sydney on July 17th and 18th, this DVD captures these performances and the variety in P!nk’s songs, which veer between longing and anger, between kiss-offs and hopes for reconciliation, with occasional thoughts about pills, booze and celebrity. She’s a rocker at heart, with a gutsy voice that needs no processing – all extremely obvious in this incredible live performance.
Featuring hit singles from across her career, as well as the hit singles from the Funhouse album, FUNHOUSE: LIVE IN AUSTRALIA is a must have in every P!nk fans collection. From the show opener of Bad Influence, to the #1 singles So What, U + UR Hand, Family Portrait and Just Like A Pill, the show also features amazing covers of the Queen classic Bohemian Rhapsody, Gnarls Barkley’s Crazy and the Led Zeppelin classic – Babe I’m Gonna Leave You.
