About the James Marshall Project

The “James Marshall Project” is a foundation whose mission is to providing support and assistance to the brain and spinal cord injured, facilitating a return to productive life-work, and re-integration within their communities.

The foundation was the idea of former AMA Pro rider #452 James Marshall. James was injured in the 6th round of 2006 AMA Supercross season. He suffered damage to his C-2, C-4 and C-5 vertebra and now lives in a wheelchair. Since his accident James has re-integrated within his community and now wants to lead an effort to help those who have suffered either Spinal Cord or Brain Injuries.

We are continuing to reach out to other foundation of sports injuries to find a way we all can better support those who are injured. Outside the dirt bike community we will be working to help those injured by a spinal cord or brain injury. If you know of someone needing help please contact us so we can talk.

Just as hearing someone on a record can be a powerful moment, it’s hard to top seeing an artist belt out one of their hits onstage with more passion than can ever be put to tape. As a young teenager, Adele found that out during a life-changing concert.

“I remember seeing Pink at Brixton Academy,” the British singer tells Spinner. “It was the ‘Missundaztood’ record, so I was about 13 or 14. I had never heard, being in the room, someone sing like that live.”

I remember her voice hitting me. It was incredible.

Growing up, Adele — whose second album, ’21,’ comes out this February — had seen artists like the Cure live, but had never been blown away like she was seeing Pink.

“Before that I was into the Spice Girls and stuff like that and they can’t sing obviously. I know that now,” she says. “I remember sort of feeling like I was in a wind tunnel, her voice just hitting me. It was incredible.

Turn on any radio station in the world and you will probably hear Adele. Go to Mars right now and I’m pretty sure if there is life on that planet, they’re playing Adele. And for good reason.

There are a few artists in my life who I can think back and remember where I was when I first heard them. When you’re so utterly moved by something that you know you’ll never be the same again. When I first heard Adele, I was on tour, alone in a hotel room in London, watching her sing from a rooftop on YouTube — a song called “Hometown Glory.” I thought, Who is this creature? This voice! Her tone! Why is the entire world not watching this video?

I’m always so happy when the world catches on to something great. Especially when it’s authentic talent, great songwriting and a unique package. I am so relieved that Adele possesses the kind of beauty that she does, that she’s crass and funny and that she sings live — and incredibly. Her success renews hope in me that the world I live in has good taste — that we still occasionally come back to what’s simple, and simply amazing. I can’t wait to hear what she does next.

Spending the day celebrating some Easter festivities, Pink and her hubby, Carey Hart, took their adorable daughter Willow to see the Easter bunny at The Malibu Easter Fair on Saturday (April 7).

The “So What” singer looked ready for spring wearing a jean jacket, summer dress and fedora hat while her motorcycle racing beau opted for a more casual look in a t-shirt, black shorts and sneakers.

The pair looked like quite the happy family as they lounged around together while Pink tended to her mommy duties as she applied sunscreen to her little one’s cheeks.

The 32 year-old songstress took to her Twitter page, wishing her fans and a followers a “Happy Easter” while posting a picture of a colored Easter egg that read “I love Willow.”

The family outing comes just after Pink and her adorable 10-month-old daughter spent more mommy-daughter time on Friday, as they made a trip to one of the happiest places on earth, Disneyland!
