Campaign sources say the May 10 event will be the biggest in presidential election history. Obama returns to Southern California in June for another high-dollar fete, featuring a performance by Pink.

President Barack Obama’s dinner with George Clooney has officially sold out, and campaign sources are telling The Hollywood Reporter that the event is expected to raise up to $12 million for the president’s re-election bid, making it the biggest presidential fundraiser in U.S. history.

One hundred fifty high rollers — including Hollywood studio heads, celebrities and an array of entertainment industry execs — have paid $40,000 apiece to dine with the president at Clooney’s Studio City home May 10. DreamWorks Animation chief Jeffrey Katzenberg, the president’s major entertainment industry fundraiser, has been spearheading the event along with Hollywood political consultant Andy Spahn.

The packed dinner at Clooney’s house will bring in $5 million to $6 million for the president’s campaign coffers, sources told THR. The demand for tickets at the event was so great that organizers tried to limit the guest list to those living in Southern California.

The Obama campaign also has been conducting an online sweepstakes, with the winner to receive two seats at the head table with the chief executive and Clooney. Campaign sources tell THR that that tally of online donations could hit $6 million, bringing the total raised to about $12 million. The winner of the contest is expected to be announced in the coming days.

After the Clooney event, Obama is expected to be back in Los Angeles on June 6 for a LBGT gala. Pink is scheduled to perform at that event, organizers say, with donations ranging from $1,250 to $25,000.

It may have taken Pink as long to write the check as it took Erik Wahl to create the painting.

Nevertheless, the pop star, 32, snapped up Wahl’s image of Marilyn Monroe – which he painted in just three minutes – for a cool $10,000 on Saturday night.

The occasion was a graffiti art performance and auction for charity in Brentwood, Calif., where Wahl whipped up the pristine portrait of the screen siren in front of guests – including Pink and her husband Carey Hart.

The painting was immediately put up for auction, with Pink offering the winning bid. The money goes to benefit Linda’s Voice, a nonprofit that Pink supports and which raises awareness for ending domestic abuse globally.

Singer Pink and her husband Carey Hart were spotted picking up some organic produce at a local Farmers Market in Malibu, Calif. on Sunday (April 29).

Mama Pink wore her daughter Willow, 10 months, as the trio enjoyed the sunny weather and made their way around the vendors. Pink made sure to shield her first born’s eyes from the sun.

They then made their way over to Starbucks for a caffeine fix before heading home.

Pink and Carey recently celebrated their sixth wedding anniversary. The couple married in Costa Rica back in 2006.

Showing off her post-pregnany figure in a printed bandeau bikini top, the 32-year-old pop star was in high spirits as she watched her motocross star hubby and her 10-month-old baby girl playing by the shoreline.

Meanwhile, Pink has splashed out $10,000 on a Marilyn Monroe painting which took minutes to create.

The pink-haired singer purchased Erik Wahl’s artwork at a charity auction in Brentwood, California, on Saturday night, reports People.

Erik created the portrait of the late star in just three minutes.

The painting was then snapped up by Pink at the graffiti art performance and auction.

The money raised will go to Linda’s Voice, a non-profit organization which raises awareness of domestic abuse around the world.

Before buying the artwork, Pink took to her Twitter account to talk about the event.

“Excited to be a part of the #sisterssoiree event raising awareness on ending #domesticabuse. Proceeds going to @lindasvoice (sic),” she wrote.

“Also-bid+won on a painting by eric wahl-gorgeous-he is absolutely lovely. I’m in love with his wife.It’s not often in la u meet peeps u luv (sic),” she added after making the purchase

The cute 10-month-old wore a black shirt and pink bottoms while her rocker mom sported a black hat and striped pants.

Sounds like Willow might be developing her musical skills early. Pink took to her Twitter page to tell fans of her baby’s abilities.
